Decoding the US Sportsbetting Market: A Roundtable Discussion

On Monday 4 February John Hagan will be moderating a roundtable discussion, hosted by IAGA and Gambling Compliance, about the expanding North America sports betting market and the opportunities for US and international operators alike.  After brief opening remarks provided by Bill Miller, the recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of the American Gaming Association, the distinguished panel will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the market including the potential impact the revised Department of Justice opinion on online betting could have on the future of online sports betting in the US and whether the legal uncertainty it has created will have a negative impact.

The panel will also discuss the expected scale of the market, likely strategic partnerships, sports integrity, the potential impact of gambling advertising restrictions similar to those being implemented in Europe, and the proactive steps that can be taken by operators to minimise the risk of such implementation.  The interactive roundtable discussion will be followed by cocktails and opportunities for networking.

Roundtable participants:

  • Adam Greenblatt, CEO, MGM GVC Interactive
  • James Kilsby, Vice President – USA, Gambling Compliance
  • Louis Rogacki, New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement
  • George Rover, Managing Partner, Princeton Global Strategies
  • Sara Slane, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs, American Gaming Association
  • Kresimir Spajic, Senior Vice President – Online Gaming, Hard Rock International

Space for this discussion is limited: please RSVP by Friday, February 1.
