Stuart is a practising solicitor having trained and qualified at magic circle law firm, Allen & Overy LLP. Since leaving there in 2005, he has held various in-house legal roles, including at Sportingbet PLC. In 2012 he set up iGaming Counsel, a legal, regulatory and commercial advisory service for businesses operating in the remote gambling industry. Stuart was also the founding Chairman of the Social Gaming Association (the “SGA”), a trade body established at the end of 2012 to provide a united voice and a unified set of socially responsible standards for the social gaming industry.
Following the SGA’s merger with the International Social Games Coalition in 2013, Stuart now acts as a non-executive board advisor to the merged association, the International Social Games Association. Additionally, Stuart is the CEO and founder of FLIP Sports, a social fantasy games developer providing real-time second screen gaming experiences for live sport; carries out a non-executive advisory role with GameSparks, a platform for mobile game developers: and holds a personal management licence issued by the Gambling Commission.
